- Extend get_version to include branch, build, latest_version, and update_available - Determine latest via util.current_version and flag updates when branch differs or build is behind - Improve error handling with a full defaulted response shape UI: - Show an "Update available" badge next to the version and a toast notification when a newer version is detected - Add null checks before updating DOM elements
